Take A Stand Against Cardiac Arrest!

Sudden Cardiac Arrest Coalition Issues Call to Action October 26
Take a stand against cardiac arrest!
Wednesday, October 26, 4:00-6:00 p.m. ET
Foyer of the Rayburn House Office Building
Independence Avenue, Washington, DC
In recognition of National Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month, the Coalition, in cooperation with the Congressional Heart and Stroke Caucus, will host a two hour event to teach the basics of Hands-only CPR and use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) – the most important action you can take to help save the life of someone experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.
Each year nearly 300,000 people die from sudden cardiac arrest, yet many of these deaths are preventable. Current out-of-hospital survival is about 8 percent.  But, with immediate bystander intervention with CPR and AEDs, survival rates could increase by 34 percent or more!
Plan to attend the event and read the press release.
