This is a sponsored post that contains affiliate links

For the most part, boating offers excitement and relaxation for many people on the open water during the summer months. While boating is typically safe, there are situations in which boating can result in serious injuries and/or death. In fact, the leading causes of boating injury are operator negligence, improper lookout, and inexperienced operator(s). Although some boating-related injuries occur by environmental issues, most are caused by the following:

 Excess speeds
Other Operational Issues
Force of Wave/Wake
Navigation Rules Violation

Of all boating-related deaths, alcohol use is the number one contributor factor.  Some of the injuries that can occur from boat-related accidents include:  Spinal Cord Injuries, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Bone or Ligament Injuries,  just to name a few.

We must be aware of the most common causes and take precautions against boating-related accidents.
